Police hunt for gate thieves

Thieves stole two large gates from a field near Holt and made off with them in a vehicle or trailer. One metal gate and a second wooded gate, both around 12 feet wide, were taken from a field at Craymere Road, Briston, between 5pm last night and 9am this morning.

Tattersett crash victim named

Police have named a 53-year-old Latvian woman who was killed in a road crash while sharing a lift to work with three friends. Irinia Cirske, who lived on Cresswell Street in King's Lynn, was a passenger in the burgundy Renault Megane which struck a JCB tractor at Tattersett at 5.

Dereham bus firm sold to transport group

A bus firm launched 10 years ago in a Norfolk village has been bought by one of the country's largest public transport groups. KonectBus, which serves Swaffham, Dereham, Fakenham, Norwich and Watton, was bought by the Go Ahead Group on Tuesday for an undisclosed sum.

County success for high school

It has been an outstanding year so far for the PE department at Fakenham High School. The Year 7 rugby team has won the Emerging Schools County Cup. This means that the school have won four county competitions since November.
