The organisers of a popular Christmas Tree Festival have reported a return to form following a tough couple of years.

Fakenham Christmas Tree Festival's committee members say the event and participating charities enjoyed a better week than in 2021.

The festival, which took place from December 1 to 8 at Fakenham Parish Church, saw charities decorate their own trees and undertake crucial fundraising.

While the grand total is not yet known, organisers believe it is likely to top last year's sum - and said they were thrilled with how things went.

The church also benefitted from an increase in visitors, taking more money through its cafe, stalls, tombola and raffle than in 2021, despite tough times for everyone.

Alison Harding, churchwarden and festival committee member, said: "We are really happy with the way the festival went and so pleased we could help so many people.”
