A day care centre is hoping to ease the cost-of-living burden on families with a new scheme.
Fakenham Children's Daycare Centre in Field Lane, has started a 'swap and save' initiative allowing people to swap clothes for others.
The idea came about after people told the centre's staff they were having to choose between heating their homes or buying new clothes.
Katie Stephens, centre manager, said: “This is what we are all about, we are a family focus setting. We aim to meet the needs of the children, so the swap and save service is absolutely what we are about.
“We felt we are an important part of the community within Fakenham, and we wanted to do something to help.
“We know about people’s struggles as it's in the news, but parents do confide in us."
People can take and leave what they need and there is no obligation to leave something in exchange for picking an item up.
The centre also offers free nappies, shoes and food. Call 01328 862422 to find out more.
