9000 lights have transformed a village home into the beacon of Christmas.

Thanks to James Brierley, from Little Snoring, near Fakenham, who has brightened up the festive season after switching on his house covered in 800 metres of Christmas lights on December 2.

Around 200 people joined him for the event, along with Billy Bob's Sweet Shop's stall, Esposito Grill and Sally Harwood's candy floss.

“I feel the event went very well and I was delighted with the turnout of people, everyone seemed very happy even in the freezing weather,” Mr Brierley said.

The event raised £495 for East Anglian Air Ambulance, with him raising money until the lights are removed.

The lights are around his home, along with more in a wooden tree and in spots around the garden.

The event was in memory of his grandad Tony Kenyon, a former chief for the Manchester ambulance service, who died suddenly from cancer last year. He was a keen supporter of the air ambulance, so he felt that donations for them would be the best way to honour him.
