Motorists have been warned to expect delays as a major road closes in the Norfolk Broads.

A village in the Broads is to be cut in two as the A149 undergoes resurfacing later this month.

The roadworks are taking place on a stretch in Potter Heigham - running between Potter Heigham Road junction and the A1062.

An official diversion will be put in place forcing locals to travel more than 17 miles to get from one side of the village to the other.

The overnight closure will run from 7pm until 6am on May 13 until May 15 - marking the final phase of the works that have caused a month of disruption.

The works will involve stud replacements and lining works and despite the closure emergency access will be maintained at all times.
