A promising batch of scientists of the future have been discovered at a Norfolk school.
Reception, year one and year two pupils at Brancaster School have been digging into their science lessons with even greater ferocity thanks to twelve lab coats which help them “feel the part”.

“It makes them feel like real experts,” said Sarah Bocking, executive head of the St Mary Federation which the school is part of.

“The labcoats were made by a grandparent, Sheree Trett, who helps a lot at the school. She made around a dozen labcoats and each of them come with a little notebook and pen for the students to take down notes,” Ms Bocking continued.

The pupils learn a lot about plants and their composition with teaching assistant Sharon Spencer.

“The pupils feels so special when they wear them, they feel like real scientists and you can see them almost grow into the labcoats. It’s making a big difference with their leaning,” Ms Bocking added.

She said: “We’d obviously like to say a huge thank you to Sheree for all of her hard work.”
