Crew tackles fire in the open in Wells

A crew dealt with a fire in the open in Wells in the early hours of Monday morning.

One appliance from Wells was mobilised to Northfield Lane to deal with a small refuse fire.

The service was called at 3:48am and arrived on the scene at 3:59am, with the fire being extinguished by 4:17am.

The crew used hose reel jets and hand appliances to put out the fire.
