Youth theatre group wows audiences with purrfect performance

Standing ovations greeted a group of young performers following the opening night of their latest production.

Dereham Theatre Company’s youth division (DOSYTco) brought Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s classic Cats to the town’s Memorial Hall this week.

The cast and crew, all aged between seven and 18, brought audiences to their feet with complex choreography and iconic songs from the musical.

It comes following months of rehearsals.

The inhouse set was created by a team of dedicated volunteers and the cast wore brand new custom costumes from Dereham Theatre Costumes.

Performances run until tomorrow, Saturday April 14, at the Memorial Hall.

Limited tickets are on sale at £14 for adults and £12 for under 18s.

They can be purchased online or via the box office at Bright and Beautiful Flowers, on Wellington Road in Dereham.
