An elderly woman who was spotted by motorists walking along the A47 bypass this afternoon has been found “safe and well”.

The woman was seen on the side of the busy road at 1.30pm with a walking stick and was wearing a cream top and floral skirt. She was found at 2.45pm at Cranmer Court, Fakenham.

Police control room inspector Stuart Bailey said: “The police would like to thank the public for their calls.”
