Fire crews were called to deal with two straw stack fires in separate incidents.

The first blaze occurred off Reed Lane in Mileham, north-west of Dereham, at around 9.40pm last night (Saturday, September 29).

One crew from Dereham Fire Station went to the scene, and put out the blaze using hoses and small gear.

They also used a positive pressure ventilator to disperse the smoke.

In the second incident, a crew from Holt Fire Station were called to land off Tithe Barn Lane in Briston just before midnight the same night.

The crew used hoses to damp the surrounding area and allowed the stack to burn.
