Volunteers who respond to emergencies in the minutes before the East of England Ambulance Service arrives are to hold an open evening in Fakenham.
The Community First Responders are holding the event to raise awareness about their role in the community and to introduce people to first aid skills.
The evening will include a free training session on paediatric first aid, CPR demonstrations, and lessons on dressing a wound. There will also be games to teach children about saving lives.
Team-member Tiffiny Chandler said: “We hope lots of parents will come along to learn what to do if their child has a medical emergency and that they’ll bring their children to learn how to save lives too. We believe everyone should know CPR.
“We’re looking forward to meeting people from the local community, and giving something back.”
The event is at Fakenham Community Centre from 4.30pm to 8pm on August 9.
