Four weeks of roadworks at a junction in Hockering will begin on Monday, January 8, Norfolk County Council (NCC) have announced.

Works will be carried out to change the priority at the junction of Stone Road (C493) with Heath Road (C173), Hockering.

This is intended to discourage traffic from travelling through Hockering village to reach the A47.

The scheme, costing £100,000, involves converting the junction into a bend linking Heath Road and Stone Road.

The roadworks are expected to take four weeks, and to be completed by Friday, February 2.

Stone Road will be closed throughout and Heath Road will be subject to two-way temporary traffic lights, with two overnight closures (8pm to 6am) on Wednesday, January 31, and Thursday, February 1.

The work is required under the Development Consent Order for Norwich Northern Distributor Road.
