Pensthorpe Natural Park will be hosting a committed group of conservation workers for a volunteering session on Sunday.

The Norfolk Conservation Corps will be getting stuck in to clearing a pond, and enjoying a lunchtime walk in the park’s beautiful surroundings.

And managers at the natural park thanked the volunteers for their efforts, as they called for members of the community to get involved with maintaining the park’s very special natural habitat.

Operational director at Pensthorpe, Mark Noble, said: “Norfolk conservation corps come to us once a month. “They’re a great organisation and do valuable work, not just at Pensthorpe.”

He added: “The park is always looking for volunteers.

“Conservation work costs a fortune, and we have a 700 acre site to look after.
