The space will be used as an outdoor classroom for reading, colouring, and seasonal activities.

The children have decorated it with an autumn theme using fallen leaves and toadstools.

The project was funded by Jack’s Lane Windfarm via the Norfolk Community Foundation (NCF).

They also funded a day trip to a Norfolk dinosaur park and a leaving party for children going into reception.

Nursery committee chair Laura Robertson said the opening went really well.

She said: “We had the staff and children there and the chair of NCF came down.

“We had storytime and a little bit of food. I just wanted to do something to say thank you to the NCF.”

The nursery has 24 children, aged between two and four, and has recently been rated good by Ofsted.
