After 40 years of Salvation Army officership around the UK, Majors Keith and Rosemarie Williams have celebrated their retirement.

Friends from previous appointments, together with their family made up the 120 people who gathered for a celebratory buffet on Saturday, June 9.

For their final three years Mr and Mrs Williams had been in charge of the Salvation Army in Fakenham and Briston.

The lunch was followed by a festival of thanksgiving where divisional comander Derek Jones presented Majors Keith and Rosemarie with their retirement certificates.

Sunday was their farewell meeting both at Fakenham and Briston where thanks were given for their leadership.

Lieutenants Adrian and Gemma Allen have been appointed to Fakenham and Briston and will take up their new appointment on July 19 and their welcome meeting will be at Fakenham Salvation Army on Sunday, July 22 at 10.15am.
