Two Norfolk schools have told pupils to stay at home after an outbreak of a sickness bug.

Fakenham Junior School is partially closed to those in Class 5J, after a “severe outbreak” of a sickness bug saw 50pc of the group affected.

The school said the class should stay off school until Monday, and that the room would be deep-cleaned to sanitise it.

The rest of the school remains open.

Forncett St Peter Primary School has also had to close fully after a bug affected a “large percentage” of children and staff.

They said they hoped to reopen the school on Friday, but that parents should not send their children in if they still have symptoms.
