Police have arrested three men after an operation targeting people involved in modern day slavery and human trafficking.

The raid happened on Monday morning at a business on Station Street after police received information that a number of workers had been trafficked and were being exploited.

Following the raid, six workers were taken to a reception centre and will be given support by police and other agencies.

The men, two aged in their 30s and one in his 40s, have been taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre, where they’ll be questioned in connection with modern slavery offences.

Officers were supported by a number of agencies including National Crime Agency, HM Revenue and Customs, Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority, Salvation Army, as well as Norfolk County Council and Breckland District Council.

If you suspect modern day slavery is taking place contact the police on 101 or to give information anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online.
