Vandals have caused criminal damage to the headquarters of Fakenham’s Air Cadets, leaving the main door of the building covered in paint and glue, and obstructed by litter and bags of charcoal.

The damage is believed to have been done sometime over the weekend and was discovered on Sunday, October 15, by the squadron adjutant David Abrahams.

Mr Abrahams, said: “The building is located at the lower college site and it seems like it was deliberately targeted by someone that knows it is our building.

“They had gone to the front door and piled up tyres and rubbish and then tried to glue the locks.

“We now need to remove the paint and the glue but we can’t do that ourselves as it is a reserve forces building and they need to first send out a surveyor. It’s massively inconvenient for us and really disappointing.”

Police asked for anyone with information on the crime to contact them on 101 and quote crime number 36/72970/17.
