It is Fakenham’s best run of form in the league since February 2007 and has pushed them up to ninth in the Ridgeons League First Division. Anderson said: “Since we lost to Swaffham on Boxing Day the lads have turned it around and we are looking frightening at the moment. We’re looking strong all over the park and playing with fire in our bellies.”

Anderson believes the future is looking bright at Clipbush Park after the perennial struggles of recent seasons: “Adie Hewitt has come in to manage the reserves and they have got a good crop of players who will be pushing to play Ridgeons League football soon. Things are moving forward with the youth team, the reserves and the first team and at the moment it’s happy days at Fakenham.”

The manager also reserved a word of praise for groundsman Peter Marshall, adding: “He’s been working overtime and he’s doing a superb job with the pitch.”

Fakenham will aim to make it four out of four this Saturday when they travel to Long Melford.
