Customers at the Sainsbury’s supermarket in Thorpe St Andrew are being encouraged to nominate teams or individuals to be a part of the London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay.

The Pound Lane store launched its nomination campaign on Wednesday, January 11, giving customers the chance to nominate an inspirational team or individual from their community.

The store’s manager, Andy Stewardson, said: “To have the opportunity of carrying the Paralympic Flame and help launch this year’s games really would be a great honour for an individual or team from Thorpe.”
