Seven-a-side league seeks new teams

A women’s seven-a-side league is looking for teams for the coming season, which starts in September.

Fixtures for the Norfolk Women’s and Girls’ Football League sevens division are on Sundays, but not every weekend.

Games are played on grass, using mini soccer rules.

There is also a cup competition at the end of the season, in April.

Players must be aged 16 or above.

Overnight rain accounted for two of the three East Anglian Premier League matches scheduled for Norfolk on Saturday – and Swardeston’s players would doubtless have preferred it if the other one had suffered the same fate.
