Hundreds gathered in Fakenham and Wells in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Townsfolk attended services at their respective war memorials on Remembrance Sunday to pay tribute to armed forces personnel who have died in the line of duty.

Onlookers watched a parade march through Fakenham to the war memorial in the Market Place.

The procession featured emergency services, cadets, RAF Mildenhall, USAF Mildenhall, RAF Marham and the Royal British Legion (RBL).

They then moved on to the parish church for a service.

In Wells, wreaths were laid at the memorial prior to a service at the Congregational Church.

Wreaths were also laid at Holkham war memorial before a service at Holkham Park.

Earlier in the week, on Armistice Day, a service took place at Alderman Peel High School before some students joined RBL members to lay poppies at war graves.

They observed two minutes' silence at the town’s war memorial, before laying wreaths at North Creake airfield.
