After two years away, a group of amateur performers have hailed their return to the stage.

FADLOS brought pantomime back to Fakenham with its unique adaptation of Aladdin from December 6 to 10.

Members of the society described the experience of performing to 1,000 people across six shows as “very lively and very funny”.

Peter Blakeley, chairman of FADLOS, said: "Laughter and applause filled the community centre as Abanazar's wicked schemes were eventually foiled by Aladdin and his gang - despite hilarious interference from Widow Twankey.”

The group are now looking to take the momentum of pantomime season into their next production, for which auditions are already being held.

Audiences will be treated to Little Shop of Horrors in May.

Mr Blakeley added: "We have chosen the 2003 award-winning Broadway version of this very popular, deliciously macabre musical.

"We all can't wait to bring Seymour and the quite deadly Audrey II to the stage."
