A village hall is preparing to give everyone a warm welcome over the winter months.

Ryburgh Memorial Hall in Great Ryburgh, near Fakenham, has been awarded funding by Norfolk Community Foundation, allowing it to open as a 'Community Hot Spot' for three months.

Funding will help keep the heating on and provide refreshments for those visiting the monthly community cafe which will take place from 10am to 12.30pm every second Saturday of the month.

The Fakenham Road building will also be open on Mondays (12-2pm) and Wednesdays (3-5pm) to anyone looking for a warm place to spend some time.

Barley Wilson, chairman of the Memorial Hall and Playing Field committee, said: “We want to support our community through the rest of this chilly winter by opening to everyone who would like to drop in for a warm welcome, free warm drinks and refreshments, and the chance to relax with friends."
