Wicken Green student Natasha Adams came 6th in Miss Cambridgeshire when winners were announced at a glittering catwalk evening in Cambridge.
The 20-year-old student nurse said: “My aim was to come in the top 10 and I was sixth. I was really nervous, I had to rehearse all day and learn to walk the catwalk, learn to prance about.”
Natasha said her mum Louise and boyfriend Luke thoroughly enjoyed the evening, along with Luke’s gran and grand-dad.
She also earned a sash for raising the most money for charity out of all the girls taking part - an impressive £855, from a bingo night at the Green Park Centre, which will go to charity Beauty with a Purpose.
Asked if she plans to enter any other beauty contests, she said: “I don’t know. I really enjoyed it, but I want to get my career on track.”
