Five Dereham Juniors travelled to Leicestershire to compete in the CAU Inter Counties Cross-Country Championships which was held in the grounds of Prestwold Hall in Loughborough.
It was a great day for the youngsters running in muddy conditions against some of the best runners in their age groups from all over Britain.
The first Dereham junior to run for Norfolk was Memphis Symonds in the U13 girls age group where she finished the 3km course in 186th and was the fourth Norfolk girl back in 14.53. The U17 girls had Abi Foster who was the fourth girl for Norfolk in 252nd in 26.31 for the 5km course. The U17 boys was over 6km and 171st and third Norfolk boy home was Jake Stearman in 22.58. The final Dereham runner was Ellie Foster who in the U15 girls 4km was seventh Norfolk girl home in 262nd in 19.12.
Dereham's Logan Smith qualified from events in Liverpool and Milton Keynes and finished 17th in 28.26.
