GOLF: President David Palmer opened the 121st annual meeting of Fakenham Golf Club, which was very well attended.
Retiring captain Paul Chilvers remarked on an extremely busy but enjoyable year and thanked the committee and the members for their support in the many competitions and club matches.
The incoming captain Steve Smith thanked him in the traditional way with the presentation of a tankard, and welcomed his vice-captain Martin Conyers.
