Organisers of Sunday's postponed Larking Gowen City of Norwich Half Marathon hope to reschedule the event for the New Year.
The race succumbed to the snow and freezing temperatures of Saturday that meant little chance of conditions improving for the following day, and leaving more than 2,700 runners disappointed.
However, race director Hugh McGill hopes the 13.1-mile race – which takes in the Royal Norfolk Showground, Marlingford and Easton – will still have its 26th running this winter.
A new date for the half marathon is expected to be announced on the official race website – www.cityofnorwichhalfmarathon.com
