School students have been showcasing their creative side in a new exhibition.

Pupils from Alderman Peel High and Wells Primary School showcased their talents with a night of music, drama and creative arts at Wells Maltings, which launched a two-week-long exhibition in the venue’s Handa Gallery.

The Maltings was full with over 100 students and 400 guests at the launch event.

Much of the students’ work explores their Norfolk life, including painting projects with local artists Mary Blue and Jo Cowell.

It featured a showcase of drama, technology, literature, and photography, with catering students making canapés and serving sparkling soft drinks.

Simon Daykin, director of Wells Maltings, said: “We stand for inspiration, for creativity, for getting involved and for the power of the arts to make a vibrant community.

“Our young people demonstrate this with flair, energy and sheer joy. It’s a real pleasure to share their amazing work in this way.”

My Norfolk Life runs until February 23 with free admission.
