Some traders at a Norfolk car boot had "completely sold out" of goods within two hours after the event's return.
The first Cherry Tree Car Boot sale of the year took place on the first April Sunday on a field off Barsham Road, near Fakenham.
Brian Berry, who runs the car boot along with his wife Gill, said it was so successful some traders were packing up by 9am, just two hours after it had opened.
Mr Berry said there were a lot of new people showing up, and as long as the weather holds up, it should be a good season.
“It is early days yet, but it looks promising.
"We had quite a few new faces at the car boot, as well as the regulars and locals who use it as a meet-up with friends,” Mr Berry said.
“I could not tell you why there were quite a lot of new faces, not sure if the new build in the area, but it was great to see them.
“I always find when we reopen, as long as the weather is good, people are glad to be back, especially after a long hard winter.
The car boot has also changed its opening times, with both traders and punters allowed in at 7am, Mr Berry has reminded people not to arrive before this time to prevent blocking up the bypass - which is dangerous for traffic.

Mr Berry is now looking ahead to the rest of the season - which runs until October.
He said: “I was slightly concerned that it was lacking in enthusiasm, because of the weather, but we had over 50 pitches, and considering a first opening, was quite good, we were pleased.”
“Now we are hopeful things get better and better, and we will keep our fingers crossed.”
