People turned out in droves to get active as part of an annual 'Easter Funday' event in Fakenham.
Richard Crook - chairman of Active Fakenham - and his band of over 50 volunteers helped to deliver a day of fun-filled events on Easter Sunday, April 9.
Mr Crook said it had been the most expensive Easter Funday ever due to inflation, as well as the cost of having to pay for race barriers for the first time.
In previous years, North Norfolk District Council barriers for free, and in January Mr Crook wrote a 'scathing' letter to the council to voice his frustrations.
But the council then helped Mr Crook source alternative barriers.
Mr Crook said the event saw high attendance across the day.
He said: “It went really well, there were so many runners and cyclists, with the oldest one being 79-year-old.
"People came from all over the country to participate. I believe towns like ours benefits a lot from events and activities like these.
“We had all ages taking part across the day.
"Despite the difficulties we’ve had putting this event on I am so pleased that we hosted the fun day and that so many people were able to come together, by either taking part or by cheering on those involved in the races.”
Activities included a 5km footrace, a fun run and a toddle’n’trike bike race.
The focus turned to 'criterium' bike races - held around a short circuit - in the afternoon.
Ellie and her son, Teddy, spoke after the event, and said: “This is a great community event and we’ve really enjoyed our day taking part.”
Attention has now turned to Active Fakenham’s Riverside Community Day, taking place on Sunday, June 18.
