The couple behind a popular mobile catering business is hoping for sweet success with a new café and shop in Norfolk.

Alex Biagioni, 34, and Tony Hares, 37, who live in Bawsey, are opening Biagio's Tea Room and Store at The Green in East Rudham, near Fakenham, which was previously Jane's Coffee Corner.

It follows the success of their catering business, also called Biagio's, in a converted horsebox, which they launched last year and have taken to various events.

The tea room and store open on Monday, September 11 and Mr Hares has left his job of 20 years in the RAF to join Ms Biagioni full-time in the business.

Ms Biagioni said: "It has been my goal to have a tea room since I was a teenager and when this venue came up for lease it was the perfect location."

The tea room will be open from 10am to 4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 10am to 2pm on Wednesdays and Fridays, extending to weekends in the future.

It will serve cakes, sandwiches, baguettes, quiches, jacket potatoes, Italian coffee and more.

To the side of the building is a separate door that will lead into a village store, with items such as milk, bread, newspapers and local gifts.

This will be open from 8am to 2pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 11am on Saturdays.

Ms Biagioni added: "While we have been renovating we have chatted to a few of the locals who are excited about what is coming."
