Get the sun lotion and cold drinks at the ready - the heatwave is set to continue with temperatures predicted to soar more than 10C above average.

The Met Office has said Norfolk will see highs of around 32C this weekend.

There will be a foggy start to the day today (Saturday August 9) with a chance of rain heading into the afternoon. 

There are weather warnings in place for parts of Norfolk due to possible thunderstorms later in the day.

Temperatures will reach up to 32C on Saturday, more than 10C higher than the average for this time of year, which is around 20C. 

The heatwave has broken the record for the most consecutive days with temperatures above 30C in September.

On Sunday (August 10) temperatures will reach up to 28C, with the potential for heavier showers in the afternoon. 

More warm nights are to come with temperatures expected to stay in the low to high teens after dark. 

It is expected that London and the South East may record the hottest day of the year so far over the weekend.
