Homes and businesses are at risk of flooding in some parts of Norfolk as a result of Storm Ciarán.

The Environment Agency has issued two flood warnings for the rivers Bure, Ant and Thurne along with the villages around them plus the River Waveney between Diss and Bungay.

There are also alerts for many coastal areas including Hunstanton, Hemsby and Mundesley.

Some inland areas have also been issued with flood alerts including Norwich, Thetford and Aylsham.

The Environment Agency has said that properties are at risk of flooding in Hickling, Calthorpe Street and Sutton.

It comes after Storm Ciarán brought heavy downpours and strong winds to Norfolk yesterday

A yellow weather warning for strong winds was in place on Thursday.

The Environment Agency warns people to avoid using low-lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding.

It did not say for how long the alert would be in place.
