Car boots across our county might be winding down for winter, but one event is taking the bargains indoors.

Sharon Moore, secretary and treasurer for the Great Ryburgh Playing Field has spoken ahead of the indoor car boot sale, which takes place on Sunday, November 19, at the Ryburgh Memorial Hall.

The event is set to be the busiest one in its 10 years with 16 pitches booked up, with some stallholders even braving the November weather to sell outside.

“We are feeling very upbeat about it, as this is the most stalls we had booked in the event's history,” Miss Moore said.

“It seems to have a lot of interest, so we’re hoping social media works its magic and people come along and get a bargain or two.”

The event is all in aid of the running cost for Great Ryburgh Playing Field, which needs to raise £3000 to have its seven acres, cut and inspected to keep it open to all of the village - with it costing just under £2,500 to cut all the grass.
