A north Norfolk bed and breakfast has been awarded five gold stars by a national tourism board.

AA Hotel and Hospitality Services has acknowledged the Holly Lodge Boutique B&B in Thursford for its overall high quality in regards to services, cleanliness, hospitality and food.

The property is owned by Thursford and has been in operation since 2019 following a major renovation.

General manager Charlie Cushing said: "We’re immensely proud to achieve this five-star award from the AA.

"Holly Lodge has continued to grow from strength to strength since Thursford took over in 2019, and we couldn’t be more excited for this award.

The star rating scheme by the AA has been awarded to businesses across the country since 1908.

The Holly Lodge offers three deluxe bedrooms, three cottage-inspired rooms and a Shepherd's Hut and was praised in the AA's report for being in 'excellent shape' with 'plenty of curb appeal'.
