A travel agency has opened the doors to its latest Norfolk branch.

Premier Travel celebrated the opening of its Fakenham unit on December 15, being joined by the town’s mayor, Angela Glynn, for the official ribbon cutting.

The event welcomed company managing director, Paul Waters as well as some of the groups’ preferred suppliers including Peter Ryan from Celebrity Cruises, Sharon Angove from Titan Travel, and Karen Milward from Premier Holidays.

Sharon Wright, the branch manager, said: “My journey in this store began in 1995 for AT Mays, followed by many years with Thomas Cook, and now, managing the Fakenham store feels like coming home. I'm thrilled to be part of a company that feels like family and offers unwavering support.”

She will lead a seasoned team consisting of Claire Howes, Catherine Brown, Lucy Hood, and soon-to-join Serena Davies (beginning in Jan 2024), accumulating 75 years of collective industry expertise, operating at the former Thomas Cook unit.

The community showed overwhelming support, with past customers dropping by for treats and giveaways, and to wish the team well.
