Police remained at the scene as they waited for the vehicles to be recovered.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary said the icy conditions on the road mean that highway teams will handle any more road closures.

It marks the fourth incident on the road in the last 24 hours after a person was sent to hospital in a crash on Tuesday morning and a car came off the road in the evening.
