A well-regarded village pub is eyeing the future under its new owners.

Andrew Felton has welcomed The Ostrich Inn in South Creake, near Fakenham, into his hospitality family which includes the nearby Red Lion Lounge and Drifters Fish & Chips.

The 40-year-old hospitality veteran has introduced all new menus and drink offerings as part of the takeover which he hopes will "improve on what's already there".

"By improving on the basics, we hope to be bustling with summer trade once the sun comes out again."

The inn recently underwent an extensive renovation and added private ground-floor terraces to some of its eight suites.

Last June, chef James Tuynman was brought aboard to run the kitchen alongside manager Dave Green but the two have since left the business, and its ownership was transferred to Mr Felton around the new year.
