From a West End musical to craft markets, these are some of the biggest and best events happening in Norfolk in March 2024.

1. The Hollyhock Trilogy, various

Local company fEAST Theatre is heading to venues across Norfolk with The Hollyhock Trilogy, starring Owen Evans (The Nimmo Twins) and Dawn Finnerty (The Canada Boys/Rosa Mendoza).

It consists of three strange but poignant love stories. In one of these, Evans plays an aging trapeze artist who still dreams of the beautiful woman who dropped him many years before.

2. Spring Creative Craft Fair, Norwich

Where: The Assembly House, Theatre Street, Norwich, NR2 1RQ

When: March 3, 11am to 4pm 

Price: Free entry

Expect high-quality handmade items and more than 45 stalls from local makers as the Creative Craft Fair returns this spring.

This will include stained glass, woodcraft, pottery, paintings, photographs, clothes, scarves, hats, jewellery and more, with a free small gift for the first 100 people to arrive.

3. Spring Craft and Farmers' Market, Horsford

Where: The Little Norfolk Farm, Sandy Lane, Horsford, NR10 3FB

When: March 3, 11am-3pm

Price: Free entry and parking

First-generation farm owners Jessica Clements and Ashley Lawrence hold regular markets to support local businesses.

The spring fair will have 70 stalls, with some inside a barn, plus street food from the likes of Churros & Chorizo and The Potato Pod.

4. Bonnie & Clyde, Norwich

Bonnie & Clyde, winner of Best New Musical at the What’sOnStage Awards 2023, is on tour following two seasons on London's West End.

From small-town nobodies to heist partners, it is the story of two Americans who come together to rob, fight and kill their way to fortune.

Catherine Tyldesley, who starred as Eva Price in Coronation Street from 2011 to 2018, will play Blanche.

5. West Norfolk Food and Drink Festival, Hunstanton

Where: High Street, Hunstanton, PE36 5AB

When: March 17, 10am-3pm 

Price: Free entry

The first West Norfolk Food and Drink Festival takes place in March and it has been organised by Mark Kacary, the managing director of The Norfolk Deli in the seaside town. 

There will be 30 stalls along the High Street - from Heather's Kettle Corn to Burn Valley Vineyard.

6. Pride and Prejudice, Norwich

Where: The Maddermarket Theatre, Saint John's Alley, Norwich, NR2 1DR

When: March 19-23, 7.30pm with an additional 2.30pm matinee on Saturday

The Norwich Players Theatre Company will perform Pride and Prejudice at The Maddermarket Theatre, adapted from Jane Austen's beloved tale. 

The Bennet girls must marry and marry well to secure their futures, so when Mr Bingley enters the neighbourhood there is cause for excitement. He brings with him his friend Mr Darcy.
