Youngsters in a small Norfolk village have got a place to have fun outdoors following the installation of a new play park.
Freebridge Community Housing has installed a new play park in Bircham Newton in north-west Norfolk, after parents living in Monks Close raised concerns about the lack of children’s activities in the area.
Charlotte Beck, a resident involved in the project, said she was delighted with the new play park.
She said: “Although Monks Close is a great place to live we’re a long way from Hunstanton or King’s Lynn where most opportunities for children are based.”
The housing provider’s ‘placeshaping’ team oversaw the design and installation, and refurbished some old existing play equipment on the site.
Robert Clarke, Freebridge’s head of housing, said: “Now the new play area is finished we look forward to it being used by the local children for many years to come.”
