For some it was a test of stamina, for others a rare opportunity to tour the grounds of one of Norfolk's most prestigious country houses on two wheels, but for all it was a case of braving the rain.

The 23rd annual Holkham cycle ride saw more than 100 keen cyclist get on their bikes on Sunday to raise money for the Big C cancer charity.
Heavy rain, which poured down on the intrepid bikers throughout the day, had an impact on this year's turnout with far fewer people taking part than the 200 who had registered for the event.
But some just refused to let the dark clouds get in the way of a good day.
Alongside the numerous regular bicycles there were several tandems and even a Penny Farthing.
A number of dogs also completed a few six mile circuits of the ancestral home of the Coke family, as they trotted alongside as their owners pedalled.
Big C spokesman Sharon Hulbert said: “Despite the rain a lot of people have still made the effort and I think it has been pretty impressive considering the weather.
“Early estimates are that we will have raised at least £7,000 in sponsorship and on top of that we will have all the money from registration fees.
“Though it is unlikely we are going to raise more than the £15,000 we did last year you cannot call it a wash out.”
