A north Norfolk author has set his new teen history book on the Isles of Scilly.
Chris Tookey, who lives in North Creake, near Fakenham, was the sole film critic for the Daily Mail for 20 years.
His new book, Scilly Seasons: Volume 1 of the Island Kingdom is an epic historical adventure.
The young Arthur and Guinevere take on bugbears, sea monsters, werespiders and tommyknockers on their amazing rise to the top in this uniquely exciting and humorous adventure.
Mr Tookey, who has published several books across different genres, said: “I wanted to create a mythology for England. But my take on ancient fantasy is a much more comic, offbeat one that reflects our more sceptical era. I examined whether our most cherished national myths might not be the result of somebody trying to put a spin on reality and selling us all an awful lot of fake news.”
