A record of church furnishings has been completed and handed over to a church warden in a Norfolk village.

It took two years for volunteers at the King’s Lynn Church Recorders to complete the seventeenth record for the All Saints Church in Stanhoe and it was handed over during a special service on Sunday.

It was presented to church warden Gill Hargreaves and it lists the contents of the church with the history and names of the makers and donors.

Copies of the record will be deposited at Norfolk’s Diocesan Record Office, the English Heritage Archive, Church House and the V and A Art library.

The volunteer recorders are members of Kings Lynn Arts Society who give a donation to cover the cost of the printing. They are now completing the record for the All Saints, Narborough and will then turn their attention to recording St Faith’s, Gaywood.
