A new date has been set for the presentation of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to the Friends of Langham Dome.

The handover by the Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk, Sir Richard Jewson was due to take place on July 8, but he had another appointment, so it has now been rearranged for Monday, July 22.

The community group saved the dome at the disused airfield at RAF Langham, near Wells, and converted it into a popular visitor centre and museum.

The ceremony will take place at the Dome in Cockthorpe Road, Langham at 11am.

Trustee John Blakeley said: "I am pleased to announce that we have managed to reorganise this presentation for July 22."
