Fakenham Junior School celebrated its sports day on Tuesday, with eggs, spoons, skipping ropes and footballs.
Children between Years 3 and 6 took part in traditional events such as relay races and sprints, while also competing to throw foam javelins, hit golf balls and dribble footballs in a slalom the fastest.
Headmaster Adam Mason kept events running smoothly with a handheld megaphone, as red, blue, green and yellow houses cheered on their friends. Results were collected by an army of helpers who helped children through the many events.
Many parents turned out for the cloudy-but-dry event, and the weather held out long enough for children to play in the adjacent park afterward.
The school will be hosting their summer fayre on Saturday, June 22, with a raffle, human fruit machine and foam dart battle.
The school asked students to design posters, and the results can be seen about the town.
