Detectives have catalogued almost 1,400 people involved in the four-month inquiry to find the brutal murderer of Fakenham man Steven Murphy.
The body of the 45-year-old was discovered with a knife wound to the chest at his home on King's Road on October 1.
The ensuing manhunt began with calls on neighbours, but widened to friends, family, fellow drinkers at the victim's local pub, names in his diary or even people who shared a bus with him on the day before his death.
