The Fakenham Ukes have reached another goal, donating £500 to the youth football club in Fakenham.

The ukelele group save donations from their fundraising events and donate £500 at a time to local good causes. They have made three donations so far this year, and hope to donate at least once more before the end of the year.

The group is made of 30 players and was recently nominated for the Times' Unsung Heroes award.

Fakenham Town Youth Football Club is run by volunteers, and the money will be put towards new equipment for the 200 children that play at the club. Last weekend, the club hosted a football tournament for youth teams from across Norfolk, where they won the under 13s category. More than 950 children competed over the weekend.

The Ukes will next perform at the Wells Maltings on Saturday 24 August, and again at the Gallows Sport Centre on September 21.
