The Fakenham community has come together to help restore a pre-school hit by an arson attack early this year.

In January 2018, three establishments including the Little Angels pre-school were targeted by an arsonist who destroyed all of the nursery’s outdoor play equipment.

But the Fakenham Town Football Club have come to the rescue, donating £200 to the nursery to help them repurchase some of the thousands of pounds worth of toys which were destroyed.

Club Chairman Simon Barnes said: “We are a community club and when we heard about what had happen at Little Angles we felt it was only right to help in whatever way we could.

“We were all upset at what Little Angles went through and I am really proud that as a club we have managed to help do something to help them out.

“Our players, supporters, coaches and volunteers all really got behind our fundraising effort and it is thanks to them that we have been able to do this.”
