I have been the Conservative MP for Mid Norfolk since 1997 and since 2010 for the reconfigured constituency of Broadland.

I am married with one son and live in Reepham and was born in Norfolk and educated at Thorpe St Andrew School.

Quite rightly constituents in Fakenham are proud of their town and there is real local community spirit which showed during and after the major fire in the town centre.

Over the past five years Fakenham people have expressed their concerns to me about the cost of living; healthcare, job opportunities for young people and development.

I have been leading the campaign to complete the dualling of the A11 and to continue the dualling of the A47 which will have an impact on those who live and work in Fakenham encouraging local business start-ups and tourism which is so important to the Town.
